(IDOT BLR 14230) authorizing the
expenditure of Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds for the FY 2011/12 General
Maintenance items in the amount of $557,166.58 for a period from May 1, 2011
through April 30, 2012.
City of Darien
utilizes Motor Fuel Tax Funds (MFT) for expenditures related to various street
maintenance functions. The funding provides for expenditures for such items as salaries,
the purchase of rock salt, cold and hot bituminous surface mixes, storm sewer
related items, various aggregate materials and road striping. Because MFT funds
are utilized, the City Council is required to adopt a resolution authorizing
the expenditure of the proposed funding related to the general maintenance
items. Attached as, Attachment A is the Bureau of Local Road
Form Municipal Estimate of Maintenance Costs. (BLR 14231).
