Commuter Information
The Main Street, Belmont Avenue and Fairview Avenue train stations in Downers Grove provide Metra rail service from Chicago to Aurora. Parking is available at all three stations through permits, daily parking permits and parking meters ($3 day). Currently, there is a waiting list for those who would like to acquire a parking permit. Daily parking is also available at the Village Parking Deck, which is located at 945 Curtiss Street in downtown Downers Grove ($3 per day).
For convenience, a "Cash-Key", which is a computerized chip can be used to pay for meter parking (this can be acquired at Downers Grove Village Hall, 801 Burlington Avenue). A "Smart-Card", which is used like a debit card, is used only at the Village Parking Deck (945 Curtiss). This is a card that is swiped through parking meter; it can be obtained at the Main Street Station via a machine.
