The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) is being conducted in DuPage County, including select households in Darien. NHANES assesses the health and nutritional status of adults and children in the U.S. using both interviews and physical examinations. Selected households are mailed invitation letters, visited by interviewers at their home, and will receive a free health exam at the NHANES mobile exam center, which is set up at the Chicago Marriott Southwest at Burr Ridge (1200 Burr Ridge Pkwy, Burr Ridge, IL 60527) from late-September through mid-December. Participants will also receive results from their exam, a generous token of appreciation and transportation and childcare costs will be reimbursed.
