Beginning next weekend, August 7 – 9, the City of Darien and the Darien Business Alliance will be conducting our 38th Annual Darien Fest at Hinsdale South High School located on Clarendon Hills Road. Events such as Darien Fest play an important role in bringing families, friends and neighbors together in a fun, relaxing setting. Amid the busy pace of everyday life, the fest offers a much-needed opportunity for residents to step away from their routines and simply enjoy each other’s company. Whether it's sharing a meal from a local vendor, cheering on a favorite band like, “Ocean’s Rat Pack,” “Whiskey Road”, “Heartache Tonight,” “Blind Reality” and “Grand Illusion”, watching kids laugh and play on the Windy City Carnival rides, playing Bingo with the Cancer Smashers or watching our local dancers from “My Dance Hub,” Darien Fest creates an atmosphere where lasting memories are made.

This year, our Darien Fest theme centers on celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the United States, and a number of our activities will highlight this celebration. Conducting Darien Fest along Clarendon Hills Road, provides us with an opportunity to offer a greatly expanded program; we have added more entertainment, expanded the number of food vendors, increased the size of our Business Expo, and will be offering additional games and rides from Windy City Carnival. This wide variety of food offerings, entertainment and games, provides something for residents and visitors of all ages.

These shared experiences foster a sense of connection and community pride, reminding us of the value of spending quality time together. This year, Darien Fest is more than just an event – it’s a celebration of our country, our local spirit, togetherness, and the simple joy of being part of a vibrant community. Please mark your calendars for August 7 – 9 and join us for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend.
